About Iran Thalassemia Society

Iran Thalassemia Association was established in 1368 by a number of parents of children with thalassemia major and doctors involved in the treatment of these patients. And now it has more than 23,000 patient members all over the country. It should be noted that the Iranian Thalassemia Association is a member of the World Thalassemia Federation (TIF) and in June 2018, it was granted the consultative status of the United Nations.
